Dr. Sawant is an Knee surgeon specializing in Knee Surgery. He has had the privilege of learning Orthopaedic surgery at renowned centers in India, England, Europe and the USA.& has spent over eight years training and practicing in England. His last appointment in England was as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, when he achieved fame for successfully treating major injuries to the leg of an international footballer.

Dr. Sawant has several first author publications in international journals like – The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery , The Journal of Arthroplasty, The Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, Injury, The Journal of Hand Surgery , The Knee. He has presented papers at several major Orthopaedic meeting in London, Cambridge , Gothemberg (Sweden), Tokyo, Yokohama (Japan), etc. He was appointed Chairperson for ‘Symposium on ACL’ at the Asia-Pacific Knee Society Meeting , Tokyo 2000.
