His special areas of interest include Neonatal airway reconstruction, Non Cardiac thoracic surgery including assisted thorascoscopic surgery, complex paediatric Urological problems and paediatric vascular surgery.

Achievements:
Dr. C. Ramachandra joined the department on May 1997 as a Senior Consultant. He received his training in Paediatric surgery at CMC, Vellore (1985-1988). He then joined St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore as a teaching faculty in Paediatric surgery in 1988. he continued there for over 6 years teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. He obtained further training in Paediatric Surgery at Children’s Hospital LOS ANGELES, CA, USA where he spent over 2 ½ years as a post doctoral fellow of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA. He received advanced training in Paediatric Surgical Oncology, Trauma & Neonatal surgery as also paediatric Renal Transplantation. His special areas of interest include Neonatal airway reconstruction, Non Cardiac thoracic surgery including assisted thorascoscopic surgery, complex paediatric Urological problems and paediatric vascular surgery
