Dr. Sanjay Mongia is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Lilavati Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai, He grew up in Delhi and Mumbai . His undergraduate education was at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Varanasi. He obtained his medical degree in 1994 with exposure to a broad range of medical and surgical specialities. Dr.Mongia completed his basic surgical training at Bangalore Medical College with wide exposure to a broad range of surgical specialities

Neurosurgical training followed , with time spent at National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences  (NIMHANS), Bangalore. At  NIMHANS, Bangalore, Dr.Mongia  got wide exposure to Neuro Trauma, Neuro Endoscopy , Epilepsy Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Neuro Oncology, Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery.
