Dr. Ramen Goel is experienced advanced laparoscopy surgeon. He has trained several surgical post-graduates in laparoscopic surgery at Grant Medical College, Bombay Hospital Postgraduate Medical Institute, Mumbai & during various surgical workshops. He also performs surgery at Wockhardt Hospitals at Mulund & Hyderabad. He is pioneer bariatric surgeon in India, having performed first lap gastric band surgery & first banded gastric bypass (Fobi pouch) surgeries in India.

Professional Training:

He has been trained in gastric band surgery by Dr V Frering at Lyon, France, gastric bypass surgery by Dr Michel Suter at Laussane, Switzerland & banded gastric bypass(Fobi Pouch) by Dr Mal Fobi at LA, USA. He has also completed preceptorship program of American Society of Bariatric Surgeons.

He has attended various international meetings of bariatric surgeons organized by International Federation of Bariatric Surgeons at Crete, Greece(2001), Sydney, Australia(2006) & by American Society of Bariatric Surgeons at San Diego, USA(2004). He was invited faculty at all 4 annual meetings of Obesity Surgery Society of India at Mumbai(2003 & 2004), Delhi(2005) & Pune(2006) & at Asia Pacific Obesity Conclave at Delhi in March 2006.
