A cardiac or cancer plan that needs a centre performing the procedure every week. A transplant that needs a programme with real volume behind it. Treatment in India is possible for Pakistani patients, but the visa and the journey are genuinely harder than for most countries — this guide is honest about both, alongside the costs.
Free · No obligation · Most patients hear back within 24 hours
For most major surgery a patient from Pakistan pays a fraction of the price charged at home, and that usually holds even after flights and accommodation. Heart Bypass (CABG), for example, is quoted at US$5,500 to 7,500 in India against US$1,500 to 7,700 at home. Patients travel mainly for cardiac surgery, orthopaedics, oncology, ivf & fertility. Send your reports and Forerunners will arrange the specialist opinion, the written estimate, the visa letter and your stay in India.
A cancer case that needs a robotic team operating every week, not occasionally. A transplant that needs a programme with genuine volume behind it. The clinical reasons Pakistani families look at India are the same as anywhere else. What is different is the process: the visa is applied for at the Indian High Commission rather than online, there are no direct flights, and approval is not guaranteed. We will tell you honestly where your case stands before you commit money to it.
Accredited private hospitals use the same equipment, implants and protocols you would meet at home
These are the ranges private patients in Pakistan are actually quoted, set against the Indian figure for the same operation rather than a best case. Indian prices cover the surgery, the surgeon’s fee and the hospital stay. The chart shows the potential cost savings for Pakistan Patients in percentage format in Indian Hospitals.
For Easy Comparison, Costs are mentioned in US Dollars (USD), Indian Rupees (INR) and Pakistani Rupee (PKR)

Not everything justifies a long journey. These are the areas where the arithmetic, the waiting lists or both tend to make the trip worthwhile for Pakistani patients.
There are currently no direct commercial flights between Pakistan and India, so patients connect through a Gulf hub. Book only once your visa has been issued and your admission date is confirmed — never before. Routes and carriers change from season to season, so treat these as a guide and confirm current schedules when you book.

Pakistani passport holders are not eligible for India's e-Visa. The medical visa is applied for on paper at the High Commission of India in Islamabad, and the timeline is set by the mission, not by us. Be aware that Indian visa services for Pakistani nationals have been suspended outright at times, and we will tell you plainly if that is the position when you enquire.
Nothing can be applied for without a formal invitation letter from an Indian hospital naming your diagnosis, the treating doctor and the expected duration. We arrange it once a specialist has read your reports.
The application is submitted to the High Commission of India in Islamabad, which is the only Indian mission in Pakistan that accepts it. The online e-Visa route is not open to Pakistani nationals, and sites that claim otherwise are not genuine.
A passport valid for at least six months, photographs, the hospital invitation letter, your medical reports and diagnosis, proof of funds, and the details of any attendant travelling with you.
Processing is measured in weeks and sometimes longer, and approval is at the mission's discretion. Do not book flights or accommodation until the visa is in your passport.
A medical visa for Pakistani nationals is usually endorsed for named cities and carries a police reporting requirement, generally within 24 hours of arrival and again before you leave. Your coordinator goes with you for it.
The medicine is only part of it. These are the practical things that decide whether a trip feels manageable or overwhelming.
Doctors, nurses and coordinators speak English, and every record you are given — consent forms, reports, discharge summary — is written in it.
Native-language interpreters are available to help international patients communicate easily and comfortably throughout their medical journey in India.
Hospital meals can be adapted, and every city we work in has familiar options nearby. Tell your coordinator about allergies or a restricted diet early.
Serviced apartments and hotels within easy reach of the hospital, so nobody is crossing an unfamiliar city twice a day while you recover.
One named person on WhatsApp or the phone for appointments, a local SIM, currency, transport — and for the moments when something goes wrong at an inconvenient hour.
Discharge documentation formatted so your physician back home can pick it up directly, plus teleconsultation with your Indian surgeon if a question comes up later.
Guided physiotherapy from the day you are cleared to move, with a written home exercise plan before you fly so recovery does not stall on the flight back.
Itemised bills, receipts and medical reports prepared in the format most travel and international insurers ask for, so you are not chasing paperwork later.
Everything an international patient usually asks, on one screen.
