It came as a shock for 51-year old Mr. Arun Kumar Singh, who was detected with not one but multiple Liver conditions. He went for a health check-up at the company where he was working. Here, he was told to undergo an Endoscopy, which revealed that he had Liver Cirrhosis. After this, he went to Hyderabad hoping for a treatment but to his disappointment, the doctors attending to him couldn’t detect the actual problem. So, he came back to Jamshedpur.
His general physician, Dr. Kesri suggested a Liver Transplantation as the best cure for him. This is when he found that Global Hospitals in Mumbai have an excellent reputation in the matter of Liver Transplants. He approached the hospital and his case came under the supervision of Dr. Ravi Mohanka, who has been trained not only in India but in USA too. Having an extensive volume of experience, he is a blessing for his patients. He recommended some advanced form of tests and the reports showed that Mr. Arun had a 1.25-inch of tumour. As a result of so many health complications, the patient’s condition had deteriorated badly.
Without any delay, the Liver Transplant surgery was scheduled. Mr. Singh’s son, 21-year old Pratik Singh came as a savior as he came forward and donated a part of his Liver. Found to be a perfect match as the donor, the surgery was performed without any hindrances by Dr. Mohanka and his team. After the successful procedure, Mr. Singh was kept in ICU for just three days after which he was shifted to his room. In fact, he was walking on the fourth day, which was unthinkable as a patient. As per Dr. Mohanka, despite of the critical Liver condition, the patient cooperated very well and showed great signs of recovery.
So, a patient who was suffering from Liver Cirrhosis, Pulmonary Hypertensionwith Hepatitis Carcinoma, has today recovered well and is very happy. His son, Pratik too is feeling completely fine and says that people should not be afraid of going for a Liver Transplant as it is not at all a scary procedure and in a very short span of time, the Liver grows back to its normal size.
